Little Hoodlum

Harrison loves his denim vest. But then again he loves everything so...

Jolly Jumper

Josh got this doo dad for our little fella on Sunday. He hasn't quite figured out he can jump yet but is loving just hanging out.

Little Monster

We've been invaded by a little Red Monster. Harrison shares Douges' love of all things fluffy and this monster suit isn't any exception.

Beach Day

Yesterday was Harrison's first time at the beach.

It was long overdue because of course he is going to be a surfer...but I'm glad we waited because at 5 months he LOVED it. Sticky sand and all.

He wasn't too sure when a 'wave' would hit him but as soon as it receded he would show us his approval. The water on his legs just took too much focus for him to also smile. :)
Love this kid.

Oh and to those that live in Aus we use WOTNOT sunscreen on him, it is amazing, especially for little ones, nothing bad in it and it works!

Thanks for taking photos of us Sarah :)

Harrison 5 Months

Harrison is five months old now. It is mind boggling how much he changes each minute, let alone each month.
He is a little flat in these photos as he is still fighting a nasty cold. We've almost kicked it and he now has this adorable raspy voice left over. Such a little rascal :)

Our First Cold

Handsome has his first cold. We're not sure what's causing it (teeth or an actual cold) but it is not fun.

But of course our little man is handling it like a legend. Mommy isn't so much :(

Harry's Namesake

A lot of people have asked us where we got the name Harrison or Harry from.

"The Prince?"

"Is it a family name?"

Anyway it's mostly just because we like the name, however it does have a little bit of a story to it.

In the first two months of dating, Josh and I went to visit my sister Whitney in Narromine, NSW.

Her and Levi have some awesome friends and they have three boys; their youngest was this little man with ridiculously cute freckles that stole our hearts. (Don't worry we loved the other two as well, but there is something special about Harry's cheekie grin that makes you melt.)

Anyway as you may guess his name is Harry, and the name stuck with us all this time.

But we (I) felt the name Harry was becoming a bit more common so we decided to go with Harrison to give him a little difference although now it is on the top 10 baby names so.... oh well!

I can only hope Harry will be as cute as this stud some day. Harry is MUCH bigger now I am told, but I hear he still has his handsome freckles :)

Tongues

Someone has discovered his tongue.

Lately it's all about his tongue all the time. And when I hand him anything, straight in the mouth... "I must taste this remote. I must taste this zucchini. I MUST taste this dirty shoe."

(Just for the record I don't give him dirty shoes but somehow he gets them...)

Happy Passover everyone!

The Rains Came Down and the Floods Came up

The one and only downside of our new house is that when it rains, and we live in Queensland so it rains ALOT, we get a lake over the back half of our yard.

Really it's not a downside at all as I can see Harrison splashing through his swampy kingdom in a few years playing pirates and Noah and whatever other adventures he can think of. But it is a problem because of the mosquitoes that come after the flood.

Just something we'll have to sort out in the years to come, for now it's very fortunate we sell a mosquito repellant. :)

So for now rainy day play time is what it's all about. I think Harrison is cool with that.

Harrison Grows

To those that are interested (I'm mainly doing this post as a record for Myself)

Harry went to the Doctor last Monday and he is

66cm long (25.9 in)
7.2 kilos in weight (15.8 lbs)

The length is off the charts but we shall see who he takes after as Josh was big as a baby but Dad was the one with the crazy length.

But most importantly our little string bean is healthy as a horse.
